Challenging Events - Romsey 5m - 18th Jan

The perfect way to start the New Year! The Romsey 5 Mile running race is set within the beautiful grounds of The Broadlands Estate, once the home of The Earl Mountbatten of Burma. The surface is mainly tarmac with a short distance of smooth hardcore. The course is 3 laps of the estate making it one of the flattest 5 mile races in the county and as such attracts athletes from further afield looking for a PB time. This running event is also perfect for first timers just starting out and wanting to try their first running race. Added bonus - you'll be able to collect your race number in advance from Run Walk Sport, Oliver's Battery. Event location - Broadlands Estate, Romsey, 10am start.

Challenging Events - Winchester 10k - 22nd feb

This iconic, closed roads race will feature a 1 lap route starting outside the historic Winchester Guildhall in The Broadway. The start is in front of the impressive King Alfred Statue. The route heads up St George's Street before going out towards the village of Kingsworthy. It finishes at The North Walls Recreation Centre. The route is a mix of urban and countryside parkland. You will be able to collect your race number in advance from Run Walk Sport, Oliver's Battery. Event Start time - 8.30am.

Twyford 10k - 8th feb

One of Hampshire's most scenic and challenging 10k trail runs through the South Downs National Park taking in the beautiful villages of Twyford and Owslebury. 9.30am start time. Prizes, medals and spot prizes available for all finishers.

Challenging Events - Winchester Half Marathon - 20th Sept

The Winchester Half Marathon is a beautiful course that starts and finishes in the centre of Winchester outside the Guildhall. Experience the very scenic route through the idyllic setting countryside that takes in landmarks such as St Catherine's Hill, Winchester Cathedral and King Alfred the Great! You will be able to collect your race number in advance from Run Walk Sport, Oliver's Battery. Event start time 9am

Challenging Events - Thruxton Duathlon Sprint & Standard - 4th Oct

Thruxton Mass Attack will be hosting the GB 2027 World Duathlon Age Group Sprint and Standard Qualifiers. Enter early as this event will sell out once again! Based at the famous Thruxton Race Circuit near Andover, Hampshire making it a perfect venue for the speed hungry athlete! The course comprises a wide, smooth tarmac circuit making the duathlon suitable for beginners and experienced competitors alike. Electric atmosphere with great music, commentary, live Facebook feed, brilliant spectator viewing and a great café. 8am start for standard. Midday and 2pm for sprint - ladies, then open.

Whether you are completely new to running or looking to restart a lapsed love of running, this course is for you. It is beginner friendly and designed to build your fitness and confidence in a supportive environment.
There will be One planned run a week on a wednesday evening. Don't worry if you can't make them all. Our support and guidance will be available for you throughout the course to ensure you stay motivated, injury free and enjoy the journey! Especially as drinks and refreshments will be available after the runs at our shop in Oliver's Battery 🙂
