Challenging Events - Winchester Half Marathon - 21st September 2025

Experience this wonderful scenic route through the countryside and iconic Winchester landmarks including St Catherine's Hill, Winchester Cathedral and King Alfred the Great! There's also a 1k Kids Fun Run.

challenging events - Swashbuckler - 5th July

The start, transition and finish are all based in the historic Buckler's Hard. The 1.9km swim is in the stunning Beaulieu River. The 90km cycle ride is in New Forest. 22km run is through quiet lanes and river paths. We also offer a standard distance triathlon: If you don't fancy doing all three, there is an Aquabike event (1900m swim and 90km bike) or spread the load by choosing our relay option. Ideal event for quick times, first timers and GB Age group qualifying times!

BigFeat - Big Night out - 8th nov

An adventure filled evening, running by torchlight, on the trails and travellers ways that surround the historic city of Winchester in Hampshire. Start and finish at Winchester Athletics Track, Bar End, Winchester, SO23 0QA. 22km and 12km options.

Winchester Pedal Paddle Pace - 13th July

Fun for the whole family. 20km Bike Ride on roads in the city of Winchester and surrounding countryside. 2km Kayak on the River Itchen. Kayaks & buoyancy aids supplied by the organisers. 5km Run along the Itchen Canal. Individual or team event.

Alresford Rotary - Alresford 10k - 10am Start - 15th June

Set in Alresford, the route heads through the town, past the famous watercress beds and into the local countryside. Half of the course is an out and back section. There are hills! The start and finish will be in Arlebury Park.

Whether you are completely new to running or looking to restart a lapsed love of running, this course is for you. It is beginner friendly and designed to build your fitness and confidence in a supportive environment.
There will be One planned run a week on a wednesday evening. Don't worry if you can't make them all. Our support and guidance will be available for you throughout the course to ensure you stay motivated, injury free and enjoy the journey! Especially as drinks and refreshments will be available after the runs at our shop in Oliver's Battery 🙂
